Basketball Tops Davidson County and Catawba Valley to Extend Winning Streak to 9 Games

The Bulldogs improved to 14-4 overall and 11-0 in conference this weekend after knocking off two Region X opponents.

Game 1  Pitt 94 Davidson County 84

In the first game of the weekend the Bulldogs squared up with the Storm of Davidson County who came into the contest at 10-5 overall and 3-4 in conference play.  Both offenses were hitting on all cylinders in a game that saw 8 players reach double digit points.  Reginald Clark turned in yet another strong performance for Pitt, recording 18 points and 14 rebounds for a double-double.  Ben Cox added 20 points, while Timothy Downing and Damar Sutton also added double digit points. 

Game 2  Pitt 65 Catawba Valley 60

Sunday's game against Catawba Valley saw the Bulldogs put an 8 game winning streak on the line.  The contest was tight throughout, with PCC eventually pulling away for a 65-60 victory.  Reginald Clark once again shouldered the load for Pitt, turning in yet another double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds.

 

The Bulldogs travel to Johnston County Wednesday for a non-conference matchup scheduled to begin at 7:00.
