BASEBALL TAKES THREE FROM BOBCATS

The Bulldogs swept the Bobcats of Bryant & Stratton this weekend by scores of 11-1, 5-2, and 8-0.

GAME 1 PITT 11 BRYANT & STRATTON 1

Dylan Patrick turned in yet another oustanding performance on the mound for the Bulldogs, working all 6 innings and allowing only 1 run on 1 hit while striking out 5.  The Bulldog offense exploded for 6 runs in the 2nd and cruised to an 11-1 victory.

GAME 2 PITT 5 BRYANT & STRATTON 2

The Bobcats jumped out to an early 2-0 lead off of PCC starter Kyle Mott.  Pitt added a run in the 3rd before scoring 2 runs in the 5th and 2 in the 6th to win 5-2.  Will Liverpool worked the 7th on the mound earning the save.  Josh Netterville and Austin Lafollette led the offense with 2 hits each.

GAME 3 PITT 8 BRYANT & STRATTON 0

Pitt starter John Owen turned in a complete game shutout in game 3, allowing 4 hits and striking out 6 in his 7 innings of work.  Josh Netterville, Chandler Blackwelder, and Austin Kaplan all collected multiple hits in the win.

 

The Bulldogs travel to Rocky Mount Wednesday to take on NC Wesleyan.
