BASKETBALL KNOCKS OFF LOUISBURG 92-80 TO SET SINGLE SEASON MARK FOR CONFERENCE WINS

PCC hosted rival Louisburg Wednesday in front of packed house at the Coburn Center.

The Bulldogs went up by 1 at the half before an aggressive PCC defense clinched the game down the stretch for a 92-80 victory.

Taji Moore led the scoring for Pitt, dropping in 22 points including four three-pointers.  Ben Cox continued his excellent play recording another double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds.  Timothy Downing added 16 points and Damar Sutton contributed 11 points off of the bench.

The win earned Head Coach Darrick Mullins and his team the new PCC single season record for Region X wins with 17. 

The Bulldogs (21-6, 17-2) head to Wake Tech tonight to take on the Eagles in the final conference game of the year.  Pitt will host Thomas Nelson this Saturday at home beginning at 4:00 PM for Sophomore Day.
