HARP STEPS DOWN AS HEAD SOFTBALL COACH

After three outstanding seasons at the helm of PCC Softball, Head Coach Jennie Harp will step down as Head Coach.

"These past three seasons have been the highlight of my career and I'm so thankful to PCC for giving me the opportunity as a first time head coach to lead the softball program.  While it was a very difficult decision, I feel the time has come to move closer to family and begin the next chapter in my life.  I want to extend a special thank you to Athletic Director Dawn Manning for supporting me in all her various roles throughtout the past 3 seasons as well as the PCC coaching staff for making this a very enjoyable atmosphere to be a part of." - Jennie Harp

Harp amassed an impressive 86-33 overall record as well as a 55-13 record in Region X.  She was named Region X Coach of the Year in all three seasons as Head Coach and led the Bulldogs to Region X Titles in 2017 and 2018.  In addition, Harp guided PCC to NJCAA DII World Series appearances in 2017 and 2018.

"Coach Harp came to PCC three years ago and has built a culture of excellence in the classroom and on the field.  Her attention to detail, passion and knowledge for the game, and her tireless dedication to her student-athletes will be hard to replace.  She has been a true asset to our athletic department and to PCC.  She will be greatly missed and I wish her the very best."  - Athletic Director Dawn Manning

Assistant Coach Cassie Harrell will serve as Interim Head Coach following Harp's departure.

"We look forward to what the future holds for PCC softball.  I feel confident that Interim Coach Cassie Harrell will step in and do a great job and the program wlll not miss a beat." - Dawn Manning
