PATRIOTS SNAP 11 GAME BULLDOG WINNING STREAK

The Patriots of PHCC came into the Coburn Center on Sunday and defeated Pitt 76-72.  The loss for the Bulldogs is the team's first since December 8th.

From start to finish Sunday's game was gritty and physical and not suprisingly, was decided in the last few possesions.  PHCC led 35-33 at halftime and with less than 2 minutes remaining the Patriots led by 3.  The Bulldogs were unable to capitalize on a few chances late and Patrick Henry was able to sink key free throws to put the game out of reach.

Ben Cox led the Bulldogs with 16 points and 11 rebounds, earning him his 9th double-double of the year.

With the loss, the Bulldogs fall to 16-5 overall and 12-1 in the conference.  Despite suffering the defeat, PCC still remains in 1st place in Region X.

Pitt will take on Wake Tech at home this Saturday (Feb. 2) at 3:00 PM.
