Pitt completed a 3 game sweep of Guilford Tech this weekend. The wins propelled the Bulldogs to 21-9 overall and 13-1 in the conference.
GAME 1
PITT 14 GTCC 4
Andrew Blake earned the win on the mound tossing all 5 innings in the run rule victory. Austin LaFollette belted his 10th HR of the year, Patrick Wheeler and Trevor Losito added a triple a piece, and Drew Piscorik recorded 2 hits and recorded 2 RBI's.
GAME 2
PITT 11 GTCC 10
Jake Isbell got the start on the mound, going 4 innings and allowing 5 runs. John Owen earned the win in relief. Walker Jones held back the GTCC offense, eventually giving way to Mason Medlin who recorded a game ending double play to earn his 1st save of the year. Tyshawn Barrett recorded his first HR of the season and Joe Mason added an additional HR. Losito, Piscorik, Lafollette, and Goldsmith all recorded doubles in the game. Piscorik also finished 3-4.
GAME 3
PITT 11 GTCC 1
Freshman RHP Dylan Patrick threw all 5 innings in the game 3 run rule victory. The game was halted after the 4th inning due to rain with the Bulldogs leading 4-1. After an hour delay, Patrick put up a scoreless 5th before the Bulldogs tallied 7 runs in the 5th to achieve a run rule victory. Piscorik led off the 5th with a HR immediately followed by a Mikey Polansky HR, then Reese Farmer added a 3 run HR to put the game away.
The Bulldogs travel to Lenoir this weekend.
