BASEBALL SWEEPS DH AT FAYETTEVILLE TECH

The Bulldogs traveled to Fayetteville this weekend to take on the Trojans of FTCC.  The series was originally set for a DH Saturday and a single game on Sunday, however Saturday's games were postponed due to inclement weather and the teams played two games on Sunday.

GAME 1

PITT:  8

FAYETTEVILLE TECH:  1

PCC used a solid start from So. Dylan Patrick to earn an 8-1 victory in game 1.  Patrick worked 5.2 innings in the win, allowing only 1 run and striking out 7.  Noah Jones then came on and pitched the rest of the game, earning his 5th save of the season.  Chandler Blackwelder led the Bulldogs offensively, going 3-5 with a triple and a home run.

GAME 2

PITT:  14

FAYETTEVILLE TECH:  10

Game 2 of the day saw both offenses scoring at a rapid pace in a contest where 24 total runs were plated.  Freshman Kyle Mott started on the mound, allowing 5 runs through 2+ innings.  He was relieved by Will Liverpool and then Nolan Bolt in a 3rd inning in which the Trojans plated 7 runs.  Branden Kunz pitched the final 2.1 innings to earn the win in relief.  PCC trailed 9-8 heading into the 6th before a 3 run inning gave them the lead and the eventual victory.  Trevor Losito and Bryce Lewis led the Bulldog offense, with Losito going 3-5 and Lewis collecting 2 hits including a bases loaded 3 RBI double.
