ROBERTSON'S LATE BUCKET LIFTS BULLDOGS TO WEEKEND SWEEP

The Bulldogs came away with two crucial conference wins this weekend defeating Guilford Tech 78-75 and Bryant & Stratton 71-70.

Game 1 PCC 78 GTCC 75

Pitt came away victorious on Saturday in a game that was tight from start to finish.  The Bulldogs trailed 38-31 at halftime before using a late second half surge to eventually take the lead for good with under a minute left.  The Titans had a chance to tie with 13 seconds left but the shot attempt was no good and PCC pulled out the victory.  Taji Moore led the offense with 21 points, and Reginald Clark added 16 off the bench.  The win improved the Bulldogs to 10-4 overall and 7-0 in the conference.

Game 2 PCC 71 B&S 70

Sunday's game was a highly anticipated matchup that saw the Bulldogs square off against a very good Bryant & Stratton team.  The Bobcats came into the game 2-13 overall, however they were forced to forfeit 7 wins due to an ineligible player.  Bryant & Stratton commanded the game early, taking a 41-30 lead into the half.  Coach Darrick Mullins rallied the team back in the 2nd half after some adjustments and immediately cut down the defecit.  With less than 15 seconds left in the game, Pitt trailed 70-68 with the ball.  Freshman Macaleb Robertson stepped up and sank a game winning three with the clock winding down to earn the Bulldogs the victory.  The win improved PCC to 11-4 overall and 8-0 in the conference.

Pitt travels to Louisburg this Wednesday for a 7:00 start.
