BULLDOGS TAKE DOWN DAKOTA STATE IN NJCAA TOURNAMENT

PCC knocked off the Blue Knights of Dakota State (MN) today to advance to the second round in the consolation bracket of the 2019 NJCAA DII National Tournament.

The Bulldogs took a commanding lead early in the contest, leading by as many as 15 points.  Dakota State cut the lead to 11 at halftime with PCC maintaining a 37-26 lead.  The Blue Knights were able to trim the lead to 9 with 1:00 minute left but the Bulldogs were able to sink free throws down the stretch to secure a 77-66 victory.

Reginald Clark was a force in the paint for the 'Dawgs, grabbing 17 rebounds and adding 14 points to record a double-double.  Damar Sutton, Rujon Walters, Rovel Ray, and Matisse Edwards all recorded double-digit points in the win.

PCC will take on the winner of Pima (AZ) and St. Clair County (MI) tomorrow at 12:00 PM ET.

If Pitt wins, they will then play a final game for 7th Place on Saturday at 1:00 PM ET.

With the victory today, Head Coach Darrick Mullins and the 2019 Bulldogs have set the new school single season wins record with 24 victories. (Previous record set last season at 23).
