Dylan Patrick tosses no-hitter to give Bulldogs series win at Lenoir

PCC defeated Lenoir 11-6 in game 1 of the series before suffering a 6-3 defeat in game 2.  Dylan Patrick fired a no-hitter on Sunday to give the Bulldogs a 10-0 win.

 

GAME 1

PITT 11 LENOIR 6

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the 2nd and never looked back in Saturday's first contest.  Andrew Blake got the start and worked 4 and 2/3 innings before giving way to reliever John Owen who earned the win.  PCC had 5 players record multiple hits and were led by Mikey Polansky who crushed 2 home runs in the game.

GAME 2

LENOIR 6 PITT 3

Pitt suffered a 6-3 defeat in game 2 of the day, ending a 9 game winning streak.  LCC starting pitcher Adrian Guerra tossed a complete game and earned the win.  Jake Isbell was credited with the loss on the mound for the Bulldogs.  Pitt held a 3-1 lead going into the bottom of the 6th before the Lancers pushed across 5 runs and were able to hold the lead in the 7th, despite the Bulldogs being able to load the bases with 1 out.  Joe Mason led the Bulldog offense with 2 RBI's coming on his first home run of the series.

GAME 3

PITT 10 LENOIR 0

The Bulldogs were able to respond to the tough loss in game 2 by coming out and earning a resounding 10-0 run rule victory on Sunday.  Dylan Patrick was outstanding on the mound, tossing a no hitter in the 5 inning game.  He finished the day with 5 strikeouts and only 2 walks.  The offense was led by Patrick Wheeler and Mikey Polanksy who each recorded 2 hits a piece.
