SOFTBALL SPLITS WITH PAUL D. CAMP

The Bulldogs split a double-header with Paul D. Camp on Friday, losing 7-6 before winning 11-1 in the second game.

 

GAME 1

PAUL D. CAMP - 7

PITT - 6

PCC was unable to overcome a late two run deficit in Friday's first game despite out hitting the Hurricanes 9-6.  Janna Dawson took her first loss of the season in the circle, tossing 6 innings and allowing 7 runs on 7 hits.  Morgan Shirley, Kelsey Peedin, and Roslyn Bunch all recorded multiple hits in the loss.

 

GAME 2

PITT - 11

PAUL D. CAMP - 1

The Bulldogs rallied in the second game to claim an 11-1 victory.  Pitt racked up 18 total hits including a 4-4 day for Kelsey Peedin.  Morgan Shirley, Julia Gonzalez, and Meghan Moore all recorded 3 hits each in the win.  Hailey Jenkins belted 2 home runs to cap off a stellar offensive game for the Bulldogs.  Emily McGee earned the complete game victory, tossing 5 innings while allowing only 1 run on 1 hit and striking out 5.

 

Pitt (17-4,12-1) travels to Wake Tech on Saturday, April 27th to take on the Eagles.
