SOFTBALL TAKES BOTH AGAINST ECSU

Pitt improved to 5-1 Saturday, defeating the Vikings of Elizabeth City State 8-0 and 10-1.

Emily McGee earned the win on the mound in game 1, tossing a complete game 5 inning shutout.  She recorded 4 K's and allowed only 2 hits while not surrendering any walks.

Morgan Shirley, Emily McGee, and Meghan Pullicino all racked up multiple hits in the win.

Janna Dawson got the start in game 2, also earning a complete game victory.  Dawson allowed just 1 run on 4 hits while striking out 2.

Emily McGee again sparked the offense, recording 2 more hits.  Breanna Hardee also collected 2 hits in the win.

Pitt takes on Florence-Darlington at home this weekend.  The series is scheduled for one game at 3:00 PM and a double header beginning Saturday at 11:00 AM.
