SOFTBALL TAKES PAIR OF VICTORIES FROM PAUL D. CAMP

PCC improved to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in Region X this weekend after defeating the Hurricanes of Paul D. Camp 8-0 and 11-10.

 

GAME 1

PAUL D. CAMP 0

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first inning of game 1.  Kate Lancaster went 2-3 with a HR and 2 RBI’s. Kasey West and Summer Campbell also went 2-3 in the game. Rebekah Williams earned the win on the mound, tossing a complete game 5 inning shutout.  She allowed just 3 and struck out 3.

 

GAME 2

PAUL D. CAMP 10

The second game of the day ended in dramatic fashion when Marissa Roach blasted a solo homerun to earn the walk-off victory.  Pitt scored 5 runs in the fourth inning fueled by homeruns from Kasey West and Lexi Phillips. West and Roach both had multi-hit games as well.   Amaya Cerutti started on the mound lasting 4 innings, allowing 3 hits and 3 runs while walking one.

 

Pitt takes on Fayetteville Tech this Friday at home in a double header beginning at 3:00 PM.
