The Pitt softball team had 5 players named to the Easton / NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete list for their academic achievement through the 2017-2018 academic year.  The award recognizes distinguished student-athletes who have earned a cumulative gpa of 3.5 or higher.

 

Players recognized include Taylor Carroll, (who was also selected this year as the PCC Female Student-Athlete Academic Honoree) Kelsey Peedin, Breanna Hardee, Janna Dawson and Meghan Pullicino.

 

The softball team earned a 3.197 cumulative GPA this past spring.

 

“I’m extremely proud of the way our ladies performed this year both on and off the field. Many times there is a misconception about junior college student-athletes performing in the classroom. The team GPA this past spring was something that we are very impressed with, especially being in season with so many true freshmen on our roster.  This team has set the bar very high for seasons to come.” HC Jennie Harp
