Softball Drops First Game of World Series

PHOENIX COLLEGE 6 PITT 0

PCC struggled to get any offensive momentum going in their first World Series game.  The #13 Bulldogs matched up against #4 Phoenix College (AZ).  Stephanie Villalovos got the start on the mound for Pitt, allowing 5 runs on seven hits and striking out 4.  Allie Phillips then threw the final two innings in relief allowing only 1 run.  Offensively the Bulldogs only recorded two hits coming from Janna Dawson and Julia Gonzalez.

Pitt will play Kankakee (IL) at 1:30 Central Time on Thursday in an elimination  game.
