PCC extended their winning streak to 6 this weekend, defeating Bryant & Stratton by scores of 13-5, 5-3, and 10-2. With the wins the Bulldogs improve to 12-8 overall and 6-0 in the conference.
GAME 1 PITT 13 BRYANT & STRATTON 5
Andrew Blake earned the win on the mound and Dylan Patrick threw well in relief. The Bulldog offense struck early for 6 runs in the first inning and never looked back. Patrick Wheeler led the Bulldog attack going 3-5. Trevor Losito, Logan Welch, and Sammy Craft all added home runs.
GAME 2 PITT 5 BRYANT & STRATTON 3
Jake Isbell was outstanding on the hill for Pitt, going 5 2/3 innings and picking up the win. The Bulldogs trailed 3-0 in the fourth when Austin LaFollette delivered a pinch hit grand slam that secured the lead. Aaron Pilkington then added his 1st HR of the season in the 6th to give PCC a 5-3 lead. Brandon Winstead came in and shut the door, picking up his 1st save of the season.
GAME 3 PITT 10 BRYANT & STRATTON 2
Game 3 was all PCC as a 6 run 2nd inning helped the Bulldogs cruise to a 10-2 victory. Freshman John Owen got the start for the Bulldogs and worked 7 strong innings to earn the win. Joe Mason led the charge offensively, notching 2 hits and picking up 2 RBI's.
The Bulldogs are back in action this Wednesday at home against NC Wesleyan beginning at 4:30 before traveling to Hickory, NC to take on Catawba Valley this weekend.
