Lady Bulldogs have successful week

The lady bulldogs had a busy 7 days.  The Bulldogs played 12 games and finished 10-2 over their spring break.  They started the week on Friday with a extra innings loss to Richard Bland college in Virginia.  The bulldogs then strung togther 10 straight wins over the next 6 days and finalized the week with a hard fought loss to Rend Lake from Illinois, at the Fastpitch Dreams Softball Tournament in Myrtle Beach, SC.  The Bulldogs worked behind very good pitching from Jessica Curtis, Brooke Jones, Makayla Meeks, Peyton Taylor, and English Dean.  Peyton Taylor had a dynamic week with the bat, going 19-32, with 12 runs, 22 RBI's, 6 doubles, and 3 Homeruns.  Taylor also did great work in the pitching circle;  going 11 innings, striking out 8, walking 2, and giving up only 2 runs on her two pitching appearances over the week.  Two other players that added a lot of offense were, Brianna Williams and Hayes Moss.  Williams, 13-24, 12 runs, 12 RBI's, 5 Doubles, and 1 homerun and Moss 12-33, 11 runs, 4 RBI's, 10 stolen bases, 3 Doubles, 2 triples, and 2 homeruns.   The Lady Bulldogs will return to action Saturday March 19th at Surry Community College in Mt. Airy, NC.  The lady bulldogs are now 19-3.
