Bulldogs Ease Past Brunswick on 'Sophomore Night'

Pitt Community College came ready to play when the team hosted Brunswick Community College on Oct. 23.

The Bulldogs took the match in dominant fashion over the Dolphins, winning in straight sets, 25-17, 25-13 and 25-12.

Jordan Woolard led the way for Pitt, with a match-high .526 hitting percentage. The freshman middle hitter finished with 12 kills to go along with two aces and a pair of digs.

Fellow freshman Laurie Williamson recorded a .333 hitting percentage, finishing with seven kills and two dogs. Sophomore Anais Martinez turned in another defensive gem for the Bulldogs with 13 digs.

PCC's next match will be Oct 25 at 4:30 p.m. against the College of Southern Maryland. The match will take place at Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh.
