Norman Cabacar enters his 4th season at the helm of the Bulldog Volleyball program.

Cabacar has deep volleyball roots dating back to his high school days growing up in Hilo, Hawaii, and has many years of experience playing both indoor and beach volleyball at high levels. 

Cabacar began his coaching career in 1999 coaching club volleyball.  His next stint came at Rose High School as an assistant coach from 2004-2008 where he helped guide the Rampants to an appearance in the school’s first NC 4A State Championship Match.  Following his success as an assistant, Cabacar was named Rose’s Head Coach in 2008 where he immediately captured the NC State Championship in his first season.  He went on to again win State Championships in 2009 and 2014, and in 2010 and 2015 his teams reached the Final Four.  In addition to his success in the State Tournament, Cabacar captured 6 conference championships and his teams were nationally ranked 11 times.  He holds an overall record of 230-39-2 and took home “Coach of the Year” honors in 2009, 2012, 2014, and 2015.

He is also a PCC alumni and received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Mount Olive before attaining his Master's Degree at East Carolina University.
