Taylor Slate begins her second season coaching with Pitt Community College.

Slate is a recent graduate from Roanoke College with a degree in Business Administration where she played softball her junior and senior year and was part of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Prior to attending Roanoke College, Taylor played in Region X for Richard Bland College. She was a key player for the Statesmen her freshman and sophomore year.  As a primary catcher, she was named First Team All Region X both freshman and sophomore seasons as well as All Tournament Team.  In 2014 she was selected as the Marucci Elite Hitter for District P in the NJCAA with a season batting average of .422.  Also at RBC she was named Female Athlete of the Year for 2013-2014, and 2014-2015.

Coach Taylor is originally from Emporia, VA.
