SOFTBALL SWEEPS WAKE TECH

Pitt improved to 22-4 overall and 15-1 in conference this weekend with a sweep of Region X foe Wake Tech.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the 2nd inning and never looked back in Saturday's first contest.  PCC was able to eventually push across 15 runs thanks in part to mulit-hit games from Morgan Shirley and Emily McGee.  McGee earned the win in the circle to improve to 7-0 on the year.

Janna Dawson and Rebekah Williams combined to toss a shutout in the final game of the weekend.  Dawson earned the victory and improved her record to 8-2 on the season.  Kelsey Peedin led the offense going 2-2 on the day with an RBI.

Pitt hosts Louisburg this Friday and Saturday in the final series of the regular season.
