CALISSA PARROTT NAMED SEPTEMBER ATHLETE OF THE MONTH

CALISSA PARROTT NAMED PCC ATHLETICS PLAYER OF THE MONTH

The 2018 Season is off to a great start for PCC Volleyball and much of that success can be attributed to the play of Sophomore Calissa Parrott.

Parrott is a native of Wilson, NC and attended Hunt High School.

Through this point in the season, Parrott has impressively recorded 127 Kills, 21 Service Aces, and 158 Digs.

We caught up with Calissa to ask her a few questions about the season.  Her responses are below:

Your team has had a great season so far.  What will it take for you all to build on your success?

"Our team has so much potential this year.  We will have to continue our teamwork and love for the game.  Everyone on the team has to come in everyday wanting to get better and learn more"

Why did you choose Pitt Community College?

"I chose PCC because I could tell Coach Speas really wanted the best for her players and wanted us all to succeed in not only volleyball but also school and life in general"

What has been your favorite volleyball moment to this point?

"My biggest role model is my coach from club ball, Coach Mike.  He really taught me how to become the player I am today and made me fall in love with volleyball.  He also really wanted me to further my volleyball career after high school and was very happy with my choice of PCC"
