REGION X-TRAVAGANZA (HICKORY, NC)
PCC continued it's winning ways this weekend, winning 3 out of 4 contests.
In the opening game of the Region X-Travaganza, the Bulldogs went up against a Davidson CC team that came into the matchup 1-4. Pitt won the first set 25-10 before falling the in the second set 25-21. They bounced back to win the 3rd 25-18 before putting Davidson away 25-19 in set 4.
In game 2 of the day, PCC played a tough USC Lancaster squad that came into the contest at 3-1. The two teams traded blows in the first four sets with Pitt taking 2 and USCL taking 2. In the fifth set the Bulldogs pulled out a tough 15-10 win.
Pitt extended their winning streak to 4 games in the opening game on Saturday, defeating USC Salkahatchie in 4 sets. (L 25-21, W 25-0, W 25-9, W 25-12)
The Bulldogs came up short in the tournament finale, eventually falling to CVCC in 3 sets by scores of 25-11, 25-16, and 25-20.
Pitt improves to 8-2 on the year and will take on Fayetteville Tech at home on 9/25 at 6:00 in the Coburn Center.
