BASKETBALL CLAIMS TWO VICTORIES OVER THE WEEKEND

PCC improved to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in Region X over the weekend after earning victories on both Saturday and Sunday.

The Bulldogs had their first home contest of the year on Saturday, taking on the Redhawks of Catawba Valley CC.  Pitt jumped out to a 44-35 halftime lead and held on to earn the 81-75 victory.  Rovel Ray led the way for the Bulldogs, racking up 23 points and 13 rebounds in his first double-double of the season.  Taji Moore picked up a double-double of his own with 13 points and 10 assists.

On Sunday Pitt knocked off Catawba College JV 82-78 in a tight contest.  Matisse Edwards led the offense with 17 points.  Sincere Jones, Rovel Ray, and Jacob Thornton also added double digit points.

Pitt will take on St. Andrew's JV on the road Thursday at 7:00 PM.
