BULLDOG ELITE: BRETT WILLIAMS

BULLDOG ELITE: BRETT WILLIAMS

Brett Williams may have only spent one season at PCC, but he certainly made the most of it.  The New Bern High School product had an immediate impact on what would become one of the most successful teams in school history.  During the 2010 season Williams hit .348 with 11 home runs, 11 doubles, and 45 RBI's on his way to helping the Bulldogs reach the 2010 NJCAA Division I World Series for the 1st time in school history.

Following his time at PCC, Williams went on to NC State where he was a 3 year member of the baseball program and a 25th round pick of the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 2011 MLB Draft.  While consistently putting up great offensive numbers, Williams was also revered for his defensive ability.  "Brett was one of the best outfielders I've ever coached.  He would make easy plays look easy and hard plays look easy.  Brett was a big part of the 2010 NJCAA World Series team and a great player for NC State. " - Head Coach Tommy Eason.

Williams' defensive abilities were further displayed during an amazing catch he made while playing for NC State.  The play was recognized on ESPN's top plays and can be viewed below.
