Virginia Beach, VA - The Lady Bobcat's Softball team dropped three straight in their home opener against Pitt CC this weekend at Princess Anne High School.
Game One: Bryant & Stratton College 3, Pitt CC 6
Pitt CC jumped out early in the first inning scoring on a single by Hailey Jenkins. Emily Mcgee in the rubber for Pitt CC, struck out five, gave up three runs and seven hits in game one.
Natalie Joyce led the Bobcats offense going 2-4 at the plate. Morgan Foy on the mound for the Lady Bobcats gave up four runs and six hits, while striking out four.
The Bulldogs offense didn't let up and took the win 6-3
Game Two: Bryant & Stratton College 1, Pitt CC 19
Pitt CC took their momentum from game one and put runs on the board early in the first inning. In the top of the second, Meghan Moore hits a grand slam on a fly ball to left field scoring Janna Dawson, Baylee Mozingo and Roslyn Bunch. The Bulldogs took a 10-0 lead. The Bobcats couldn't recover, and the Bulldogs took the win through five innings.

Game Three: Bryant & Stratton College 3, Pitt CC 6
Determined to prevent the sweep in the third game of the day, BSC kept the Bulldogs close through five innings all knotted up at 3-3. Late in the eighth inning, Emily Mcgee singles on a ground ball to right field. Kelsey Peedin doubles on a fly ball, sending Emily Mcgee to score 4-3. Julia Gonzalez comes to the plate, on a 0-2 count, homers on a fly ball to left field to seal the win 6-3.
The Lady Bobcats had multiple hits on the day, Nadine Arredondo and Riley Phillps with two hits on the day. Morgan Foy allowed six hits and six runs in eight innings.
Rebakah Williams earned the win for the Bulldogs in seven innings giving up three runs and six hits.
The Lady Bobcats travel to Hampton, VA Thursday, March 28th against Stratford University. Doubleheader starting at 2pm and 4pm.
