The Bryant & Stratton Bobcats Baseball team was on the road to take on conference foe in the Pitt Community College Bulldogs this passed weekend.
Game 1
The Bulldogs built their lead a few runs at a time in an 8-2 loss for the Bobcats.
The Bobcats got on the board in the first inning after #6 Joshua Lopez Torres singled, scoring 1 run.
#4 Diego Melendez and #6 Lopez Torres were a force together in the lineup as they each collected 2 hits. #6 Lopez Torres drove the middle of the lineup leading the team with 2 RBIs finishing 2-3 on the day. The Bobcats opened scoring in the 1st after #4 Diego Melendez grounded out, scoring 1 run. The Bulldogs would tie things up in the bottom of the 3rd until a double by #12 Allen Navarro would give the Bobcats the lead 2-1 in the top of the 4th.
It was then in the bottom of the 4th that the Bulldogs would score 6 runs and put things out of reach.
#26 Gavin Whitehurst, #6 Joshua Lopez Torres, #11 Juan Mejias, #4 Melendez, and #12 Navarro all collected 1 hit for the Bobcats. #4 Melendez, #11 Mejias, and #12 Navarro would tie for the lead as they each drove in 1 run to the Bobcats.
