Winterville, NC (September 7, 2023) - The CFCC Volleyball team traveled to take on the Pitt Community College Bulldogs this evening and earned their first Region 10 Conference win of the season with a clean sweep.
The Sea Devils started off the first set strong with a 25-16 win but struggled with some offensive errors and miscommunications in the second as the Bulldogs began to fight back in the second. However, Cape Fear managed to finish the set strong and create opportunities for themselves behind the service line: ending things quickly in the third for a clean 3-0 sweep.
Sophomore returner Nora Pit had a positive impact on the Cape Fear offense, while London Ipsen and Leah Davis led the charge on defense.
"I'm excited to start off conference play with a sweep, and we're excited to bring this momentum into next week's matchup," says Head Volleyball Coach Colby Rosser.
The Sea Devils will take on the Lenoir Lancers on Wednesday, September 13 in Kinston, NC, at 6 PM.
