Mills Hits Six '3s' to Help Bobcats Down Bulldogs

NORFOLK—Trying to snap a two-game skid, Pitt Community College got off to the wrong start against Bryant & Stratton College and the result was an 82-76 loss for a 4-4 overall record.

A lackluster defensive effort and costly turnovers by the Bulldogs early helped the Bobcats build a 42-34 lead by halftime. PCC (2-2 Region X Conference) picked up the pace in the second half and trailed 77-71 with 49 seconds remaining before coming up short for a third straight game.

Kendall Ham dropped in 16 points for the Bulldogs, and Alfonzo Josey and Josh Cox scored 15 each to give Pitt three players in double figures scoring.

Bryant & Stratton's Troy Mills led all scorers with 18 points – all coming from beyond the 3-point arc. For the game, Mills shot 50 percent (6-for-12) from 3-point range.
