Bulldogs Have Now Won Four Straight and Eight of Nine

HICKORY—Pitt Community College reeled off its fourth straight win and eighth in the past nine tries with a 64-56 victory over Catawba Valley Community College to sweep the regular-season series with the Red Hawks.

PCC set the tempo defensively from the opening tip. For the game, the Bulldogs forced 15 turnovers, including nine steals, and blocked three shots.

Pitt, which led 30-26 after 20 minutes of play, got 21 points and 15 rebounds from freshman forward Michael Williams. Romone Adderley chipped in with 17 points and 12 assists, and Alfonzo Josey finished with 12 points.

With the win, PCC is now 14-8 overall, 10-4 in the Region X Conference.
