Bulldogs Avenge Earlier Loss to Bryant & Stratton

WINTERVILLE—Kendall Ham recorded a double-double to push Pitt Community College past Bryant & Stratton College, 62-55, and avenge a six-point loss to the Bobcats earlier this season.

Ham, a sophomore, scored 13 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for the Bulldogs, who trailed 27-26 at halftime. Michael Williams came off the bench to tally 10 points and nine rebounds, and Josh Cox added nine points for Pitt, which is now 11-8 overall and 7-4 in the Region X Conference.

PCC Coach Darrick Mullins said his squad turned up the defensive intensity in the second half and converted its free throws down the stretch to seal the victory.

Bryant & Stratton, which shot just 33 percent from the floor for the game, had beaten the Bulldogs, 82-76, on Dec. 14.
