Hurricanes Duo Powers Louisburg Past Bulldogs

LOUISBURG—Camden Scott and Jamarcus Hairston combined for 43 points to lead Louisburg College to a 96-85 victory over Pitt Community College.

Scott went 7-for-11 from the field with six 3-pointers and connected on a couple of free throws to score a game-high 22 points for the Hurricanes. Hairston also went 7-for-11 from the floor with four treys and three free throws to tally 21 points.

PCC trailed by as many as 15 against the 'Canes before cutting the lead to five points. The Bulldogs remained within striking distance the rest of the way but never could close the gap entirely.

Freshman guard Romone Adderley led Pitt offensively with 18 points. Jake Ashorn added 17 points, and Leveon Hines tacked on 12 more.

Louisburg outrebounded PCC, 45-33, for the game to sweep the regular-season series with the Bulldogs.
