PCC Tandem Scores 45 Points in 99-90 Victory over Wake Tech

WINTERVILLE—It wasn't necessarily pretty, at times, but Pitt Community College found the final result beautiful, as the Bulldogs topped visiting Wake Technical Community College, 99-90.

Michael Williams (24 points) and Josh Cox (21) combined for 45 points for the Bulldogs, who have now won three in a row. Williams also utilized his 6-6 frame to swipe a game-high 15 rebounds.

The Bulldogs and Eagles were tied at the break at 45-all before Pitt turned up the defensive pressure early in the second half to build a 17-point advantage. Though the Bulldogs missed four of six free throws down the stretch, they emerged with a nine-point win nevertheless.

Kendall Ham hauled in 12 rebounds for PCC to go along with seven points. Teammate Tominique Hargrove dished out 10 assists, and Leveon Hines racked up 12 points.

Romone Adderley scored 10 points for the 'Dawgs, who are now 13-8 overall, 9-4 in Region X Conference play, before fouling out.
