Bulldogs Sweep Regular-Season Series with Patrick Henry

WINTERVILLE—Pitt Community College extended its current winning streak to six on Saturday with a 71-68 victory over visiting Patrick Henry Community College.

The Bulldogs, who led 33-28 at halftime, knocked down five of six from the foul line down the stretch and got a key blocked shot by Josh Cox to seal their tenth victory in their last 11 games.

Tominique Hargrove led the Bulldogs in scoring with 13 points to go along with a pair of assists. Michael Williams had 12 points and seven rebounds and Kendall Ham had 10 points and eight boards for Pitt, which is now 16-8 overall, 12-4 in the Region X Conference.

PCC, which swept the regular-season series from Patrick Henry by a combined four points, will host Mid-Atlantic Christian University in a non-conference matchup Monday at 7 p.m. in the Charles Coburn Center.
