Dwight Morrisey (Associate Head Coach): 4th Season

Coach Dwight Morrisey Jr is a native of Goldsboro, NC. He graduated from James Kenan High School (Warsaw, NC) and was a varsity basketball team letterman from 1996 to 1998. After a few stops, he graduated from Fayetteville State University with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics-Secondary Education.  His coaching experience began as a teacher at South Central High School (Winterville, NC), where he volunteered as an assistant on the junior varsity and varsity teams from 2007 to 2008. In 2015, he landed his first Junior Varsity head coaching position at Clinton High School, where he was also a Varsity Assistant. On top of being an academic specialist in mathematics here at Pitt, Coach Morrisey brings a love for the game of basketball and hopes to use his experience to help the players develop into the best they can be on and off the court.

Now entering his fourth season, Associate Head Coach Morrisey hopes to help bring a NJCAA Division II Championship to Bulldog Nation and, with continued efforts, further the basketball program here at Pitt Community College. He believes working under Coach Mullins will allow him to continue to increase his knowledge and develop his style, which will help him become an established and well-groomed coach in the game of basketball. Being a positive black role model motivates him to continue to work towards his full potential. It allows him to encourage the younger generation to achieve their personal goals and succeed in life after basketball.
